The project involved migrating a legacy Rockwell SLC control platform to the latest Rockwell 5069 CompactLogix PLC series, significantly improving system reliability, performance, diagnostics, and long-term supportability.
Project Scope
The upgrade included:
- Full PLC hardware replacement and software conversion
- Integration of a Rockwell Optix HMI platform
- Enhanced system trending, alarming, and advanced diagnostics
- Electrical installation and commissioning
- Same-day Site Acceptance Testing (SAT)
The introduction of the Rockwell Optix HMI provides operators with far greater visibility into system performance, enabling improved fault diagnostics, faster response times, and better overall operational awareness.

The most critical requirement of the project was maintaining uninterrupted power supply to the facility throughout the changeover and live testing process.
