Lismore flood recovery

ARA Electrical Services has just completed a nationally recognised project in Northern NSW following the flood disaster in 2020. The massive flood ripped through the Norco facility trapping many of the staff in the top office who had to be rescued by boat.

ARA was engaged to perform repairs and upgrades to various pieces of process equipment, as well as the installation and modifications to new overseas equipment. To ensure the reliability of the site in the event of another flood, ARA was engaged to work with the overseas manufacturers to redesign and modify the machines so that key electrical equipment would be located above a 15 metre flood. Our engineering and trade team worked seamlessly with the overseas design and commissioning team to design, install and commission the new and repaired process equipment over an 8 month project timeline.

The project by ARA Electrical Services gained national recognition after major news outlets ABC, Channel 9, Sky News and others highlighted the heartwarming story. We take great pride in having played a pivotal role in the success story of Norco in Lismore.

Congratulations to the ARA engineering and trade team for delivering this high quality installation and your commitment and sacrifices for this remote project. Read more about this story here ➡ https://ab.co/3N8HFiO
