ARA Electrical Services recently completed a successful automation upgrade for a specialist veterinary medicines batching facility, delivering improved process control, operational efficiency, and production compliance.
The project involved replacing the site’s legacy control system with a modern Rockwell Automation CompactLogix PLC platform, providing the customer with a scalable and reliable foundation for future production requirements.
Designed around ISA-88 Batch Management principles, the new system enhances recipe control, batch consistency, and traceability, critical requirements within APVMA-regulated manufacturing environments.
A key feature of the upgrade was the implementation of integrated Clean-In-Place (CIP) queuing functionality, allowing operators to streamline cleaning sequences between production runs while reducing downtime and improving plant turnaround efficiency.
