ARA Electrical Services were engaged to provide engineering services necessary to ascertain current site HV requirements and future requirements with the additional need to be REFCL ready.

The engineering services provided were as follows:

  • Preparing loadlists for the entire site and ascertaining Estimations for maximum demand
  • Modelling the low voltage distribution for the entire site
  • Reporting on any AS3000 non compliances
  • Provide an Arc Flash level report for all switchboards
  • Generate new High Voltage Single line diagrams for existing and planned HV infrastructure
  • Earthing Design for New infrastructure taking into consideration existing plant earthing
  • Provide an Option study for the site HV assets including costings based on future needs and being REFCL ready
  • Prepare site plans nominating HV underground cable routes and transformer kiosk requirements
  • Generation of project schedules for the HV upgrade with the intent on minimising production interruptions
  • Prepare REFCL ready assessment report for the site HV assets and present to ESV
  • Generate several HV technical scopes of work
