Automated Robot & Stretch Wrapper Machine
ARA Electrical Services Keysborough factory and office was utilised for a new automated robot and stretch wrapper picking/packing machine for our local manufacturing customer.
ARA was engaged to design and construct the electrical system which also included integrating overseas 3rd party packages.
Our engineering team ensured the 2 stretch wrappers which were manufactured in France met all applicable Australian Standards. Given the inherent safety risk of automated robots, our engineering team payed close attention to AS:4024 Machine Safety and AS:3000 wiring rules and ensured the design met these standards.
Our design team developed a full set of electrical schematics for the project for the seamless electrical installation by our skilled industrial electricians.
Our PLC programming team completed the PLC and Safety PLC program for the automation process, followed with a 2 week full commissioning process in our Keysborough factory. We worked with our clients operations team to ensure the robot and stretch wrappers were commissioned to the demand that the on site operators and process requires.
The Robot was programmed to communicate with an on-site developed recipe system to adjust accordingly to the estimate 90 different recipes that the robot would have to allow for.
