ARA were award the complete E&I contract for the installation of 2 off wet electrostatic precipitators and associated fans. The supply included the extension of a HV switchboard and the installation of two off dry type 1.5MVA transformers.

The key elements of the project were:

Design and construct in accordance with A H Lundberg process requirements

  • Design and installation of 2 x 1.5MVA 22KV transformers dry type distribution transformers
  • Specification, procurement and installation of 5 off large LV variable speed drives including 1 off 280kW, 1 off 500kW and 1 off 630kW drive
  • High Voltage protection study
  • High Voltage protection testing
  • Procure all equipment including switchrooms
  • Fit out switchrooms at ARA premises and deliver to site
  • Project included procurement, installation, testing and commissioning of 75kW, 110kW, 240kW, 500kW and 630kW 415Vac variable speed drives
