Major LV mains upgrade
ARA has recently completed a significant LV mains upgrade for a major processing facility located in Melbourne.
The project involved engineering the cable ladder and supporting structures to ensure they could adequately support the substantial weight of the large copper cables required to power the plant’s extensive MCC (Motor Control Center).
Once the cable ladder and supporting structures were designed and installed, ARA proceeded to carefully and safely install the six sets of cables, one by one, using a heavy cable winch.
Following the cable installation, our team meticulously dressed and terminated each cable to the highest standards of quality. Rigorous testing was conducted to ensure compliance with AS3000 regulations and the completion of five mandatory tests.
With the installation meeting all necessary standards, power was applied, enabling commissioning activities to commence at the major industrial processing plant in Victoria.
