ARA were awarded the complete E&I contract for the installation of 2 off wet electrostatic precipitators and associated fans.  The supply included the extension of a HV switchboard and the installation of two off dry type 1.5MVA transformers.

A portion of the scope was the design procurement and installation of 5 off large Variable Speed Drives. At the time of the installation ARA electrical Services were responsible for the largest Low Voltage Variable Speed Drive installation in Australia.

The key elements of the project were:

Design and construct in accordance with A H Lundberg process requirements

Procure all equipment including switchrooms

Fit out switchrooms at ARA premises and deliver to site

Project included procurement, installation, testing and commissioning of 75kW, 110kW, 240kW, 500kW and 630kW 415Vac variable speed drives
